Fundraising

January 15, 2014 |

The Open Center for Children is constantly looking for ways to improve the curriculum and enhance the children’s experience, in the classroom and out. Our two big fundraising events have been huge successes in the past, and we hope to continue out success in the upcoming years! In 2013, we raised enough money to have our music teacher come every week and introduce yoga and Habitat Nature Club on a bi-monthly basis, with no effect on the tuition.

The Flatbread Company’s Benefit Night

Every winter, The Flatbread Company and The Open Center join forces for our annual Benefit Night. It’s a night filled with pizza, bowling, and an incredibly popular raffle. The kids enjoy seeing cphoto (2) copyurrent friends, past students, and especially their teachers outside the classroom – on a school night no less! It’s a great way for the center to interact with the community. The Flatbread’s Benefit Night one of our most popular and successful events.

Yard Sale

In April of 2013, The Open Center held its first multi-family yard sale, with tremendous results! We took over the yard outside the center and sold donated items, with all proceeds going directly to the center. We plan to make it an annual event!
