Blue Room
Class Goals
In our Blue Room, our goals for our older learners are centered on fostering a stimulating and engaging environment that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and social-emotional growth. We strive to provide opportunities for children to explore their interests, ask questions, and pursue in-depth investigations that spark their natural curiosity. We aim to empower children to actively participate in their learning, fostering independence, self-expression, and a sense of agency. We value the importance of collaboration and seek to create a supportive community where children learn to respect and appreciate diverse perspectives. Through art, project work, collaboration, and documentation, we encourage children to represent their understanding, thoughts, and ideas with each other, their teachers and families, and even the community outside our school walls. Our goal is to nurture a lifelong love for learning, equipping children with the skills and mindset necessary for future success in an ever-changing world.
Flow of the Day
*Please note we are a classroom that does not follow a strict schedule. While the schedule will tell you the basic flow of our day, it will never be precise. There will be walking trips, studio visits, picnic lunches and other things that disrupt the flow. We believe that our flow should change daily depending on the needs of teachers and children. We are a flexible and responsive classroom!*
